- Describe how dementia affects a person's brain and behavior
- Identify the different forms of dementia, as well as the differences between dementia and delirium and normal aging
- Explain the value and effectiveness of knowing and applying social history when caring for a person with dementia
- Apply validation and redirection techniques to a dementia care setting
- Identify and take steps to resolve the unmet needs of a person with dementia
